Professor Bailey-Kirby launched The Stylus: An Online Publication for the fall 2012 semester by featuring the work of Lauren Chaves, Brittany Fehlig, Daniel Kanizar, and Kris Martin from her ENG 221: Fiction Writing course (spring semester - 2012)

MORE ABOUT THE STYLUS - AN ONLINE PUBLICATION:
______________

The writers (listed below in the right hand columns) have ended their chapters on a cliff-hanger (a story or a situation which is exciting because its ending or result is uncertain until it happens); hence, you will want to check back each month to find out what develops for each of their characters.

Also, each writer was matched with one of the following talented photographers and artists: Dennis Kira, Yobana Graciano, Melissa Jeralds, and Joshua Mirenda, who are a few of the featured artists on the art gallery page of this website. Their  artwork has also been published in both  Aspirations
and the
Silver Compass
magazines.

Each student has four parts/ chapters that were posted on this website during the fall semester of 2012 along with artwork for each installment to accompany their stories on the following dates:
  • August 10, 2012 for the first installment.
  • September 10, 2012 for the second installment.
  • October 10, 2012 for the third installment.
  • November 10, 2012 for the final installment.
If you are interested in working on a similar project as well as having your work published online in The Stylus, please e-mail the instructor with any questions.
